Overview

The Stock Clerk is a member of the SCM Warehouse Team.  This position requires the ability to multi-task, a team player approach and self-motivation to work independently without direct supervision.

 

This position will last approximately 2 months and is an hourly position.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Inventory Control

  • Organize Warehouse
  • Labeling shelves and bins
  • Checking in newly arrived items
  • Put up inventory
  • Pull outgoing item transfers
  • Perform cycle counts

 

eBay Sales

  • Entering eBay orders into the Point of Sale system
  • Pick, pack, and ship the orders
  • Weekly deposit reconciliation
  • Research items utilizing vendor/manufacturer websites, publications, equipment manuals, microfiche, and other sources

 

Data Entry

  • Enter item receipts in the system
  • Entering outgoing item transfers into the system
  • Updating shelf locations
  • Entering sales

 

Other Requirements

  • Create spreadsheets, sort, format, and create formulas, etc. as required
  • Collate information from various sources to produce reports
  • Research using the internet
  • Proofread documents for grammar, content, clarity, accuracy of information, etc.
  • Create concise correspondence which is understandable for a wide variety of comprehension levels
  • Communicate with off-site employees and vendors (emails, phone calls, etc.)
  • Perform basic administrative functions: filing, ordering supplies, sending/receiving faxes, mailing correspondence, scanning documents, etc.
  • Learn inventory software programs (Microsoft Business Central) and become proficient at running reports, customizing reports, downloading information into spreadsheets, and performing various functions (creating part numbers, reviewing part numbers already created for correctness, researching accounting issues, editing part numbers, etc.)
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Additional tasks/assignments may occur

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Obtain and maintain a forklift license

Physical Requirements

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
