Duties include providing professional and technical support to facilitate meeting operational requirements. Specific work shall include, but is not limited to the following:
- Research and conduct preliminary data collections for quality and performance studies/surveys related to resolving customer’s complaints, issues or problems, conducting training on work procedures and providing support to customers and specified organizations.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of customer’s requests/requirements. This includes, performing technical research to identify operational/processing errors and discrepancies.
- Serve as liaison with customers to resolve issues and customer complaints. This includes attending meetings, as designated by the Technical POC, to review procedures or resolve discrepancies in the process.
- During periods of low workload, will provide direct support/assistance to FLC Sigonella, as requested by the applicable Site Director, with the Technical Assistant approval.
- Receive ATAC Depot Level Repairable items (DLR) material from customers at a designated collection point. The position will require operation of a forklift for loading/unloading trucks, vans, etc. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and use material handling equipment (MHE) pallet jack, etc. for heavier items. Will be required to sign and date stamp 1348-1 documentation as proof of receipt and provide copy to customer and retain copy for file. Use of a personal computer is required. Working environment is in a warehouse that may be cold in winter and hot in summer.
- Reject back to customer Non ATAC DLR items (ATAC Exclusion items).
- Record receipt/shipping data in ATAC Database. Will be required to enter data manually or via an automated scanning device into a personal computer software program.
- Technical screen/verify material identification. Will be required to physically handle material and locate identification markings on the material for cross-reference into a computer database for verification.
- Provide disposition determination. Will be required to enter pertinent data into a computer database to generate shipping documentation (BC2 1348-1 and shipping manifest, or GBL, CBL, etc.) for Transaction Item Reporting (TIR) and Proof of Delivery/Shipment (POD/POS).
- Package DLR material IAW NAVSUP P700-CNP level 2 and prepare for shipment in appropriate container and consolidating for shipment in Multi Unit Container (MUC). ASTM compliant fiberboard boxes and MILSTD wrapping and barrier supplies will be provided by the ATAC Hub .
- Perform crating/woodworking (nail-ups, banding, etc.) to prepare item for shipment as required.
- Create barcode MIL-STD 129 labels for non-automated 1348’s. Using a PC/barcode printer, enter pertinent data to create barcode labels.
- Pickup DLR items from customers within a 50-mile radius. Will be required to drive a 2-½ ton truck.
- Respond to customer inquiries, Report of Discrepancies (RODs), Transportation Discrepancy Reports (TDRs). Will be required to answer phone calls and respond to customer’s questions pertaining to DLRs turned in at the site.
- Perform in-depth (Deep Screen) technical material identification which includes contacting Navy Supply Planners and others to completely determine/resolve material identification.
- Perform Hazardous Certification for material as required or directed by ATAC Management, but only after successful completion of required training. If unable to complete this task, turnover uncertified HAZMAT DLRs to the site co-locator.
- Enter all material receipt data in the Electronic Retrograde Management System (ERMS) within 24 hours of physical receipt of material, excluding weekends/holidays and Government Administrative Days Off.
- Complete all "ROUTINE" material processes (Screening, Packaging, and Shipping) within 5 Calendar Days of physical receipt of material.
- Complete all "EXPEDITED" material processes (Screening, Packaging, and Shipping) within 2 Calendar Days of physical receipt of material. ERMS will identify Expedited material when Receipt Data is entered.
- The contractor employees shall be physically qualified to perform duties assigned considering factors such as strength, endurance, agility, coordination, and visual and hearing acuity. Services may be performed either indoors or at outside storage sites. The Contractor shall not permit an employee to work while his ability or alertness is impaired by fatigue, alcohol, drugs, illness or other causes that might unnecessarily expose himself/herself or others to injury or property damage.
- Employees are required to immediately report any damage to Government property, personal injuries and/or hazardous conditions to the assigned government representative.
- The position may require travel to various locations and countries to attend meetings, conferences, etc.
