Overview

The Human Resources Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department. The HR department is responsible for performing HR related duties for multiple managers in various geographic regions, contracts, and collective bargaining units. This position carries out responsibilities in employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

 

This is a salaried position.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee documentation and personnel files
  • Develop training materials for managers on employee relations
  • Ensure consistent application of MANCON policies
  • Align strategic HR goals with business initiatives
  • Track and review employee relations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Coach and guide managers on disciplinary actions
  • Investigate and resolve employee issues and conflicts
  • Manage unemployment notices and attend hearings
  • Assist and oversee recruitment tasks
  • Review compensation strategies for employees and new hires
  • Report, maintain, and monitor workers' compensation and property damage cases
  • Participation in development of department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Maintain HR information system records and compile reports
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires
  • Provide support and guidance to Benefits Coordinator and other HR staff

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of HR experience
  • Broad knowledge of HR practices
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Data entry skills

  • OSHA compliance and annual reporting
  • Annual EEO1 reporting
  • VETS-4212 reporting
  • Affirmative Action Plan compliance
  • DOT Compliance
  • Knowledge of iCIMS applicant tracking program
  • Previous HR management experience

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work -Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
