  • Overview

    MANCON LLC is seeking a Program Manager for a warehouse and logistics services contract to manage the central warehousing, inventory, transportation logistics and base stockroom operations for a major public transit agency in the Boston, MA metropolitan area.


    The Program Manager will be responsible for the management of all personnel and tasks related to the operations of the contract to include, but not limited to:

    • Coordinating and managing the delivery of the required services for a network of material warehousing facilities with 3 Central locations and 18 base locations where maintenance operations occur
    • Manage and maintain the material inventories to industry standards throughout the 3PL service network
    • Manages a large and diverse staff of warehouse, logistics, administrative and transportation personnel to ensure high quality services are provided
    • Schedules and assigns duties to contract personnel to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget
    • Serves as primary point of contact with the government customer
    • Submits daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to the customer
    • Investigates and resolves challenges


    • Knowledge of supply regulations, manuals, policies, procedures and supply distribution management and inventory accountability concepts.
    • Knowledge and experience with transportation regulations, policies, methods, procedures, and practices.
    • Five (5) years experience in transportation, warehousing, cycle count and parts processing and procedures.
    • Analytical abilities, self-motivation, and experience with problem solving.
    • Experience with computer warehouse management systems.
    • Knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
    • Proficient in written communication: grammar, spelling, sentence composition, etc. 
    • Driver's License
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license

    Preferred Qualifications

    • The preferred candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of supply chain experience managing a warehouse operation totaling over 250,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space carrying over 50,000 lines.
    • Experience with government warehouse logistics management is preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    Light work - Frequently exerting up to 20 pounds of force possibly using arm and/or leg control. Work is still primarily sedentary work with occasional walking and standing.
