The Training Manager is responsible for identifying and coordinating training opportunities for VDOT technicians.
MANCON desires for its workforce to be highly trained and certified in order to provide the best level of service to VDOT. The Training Manager is responsible for managing, administering, and documenting MANCON’s employee training and certification program. The Training Manager conducts training as required. Training will occur at VDOT locations, which includes overnight and weekend travel. Meetings with the customer may require business formal attire
The Training Manager will support the Project Manager, in conjunction with the Assistant Program Manager and the Corporate Contract Support Team.
While this posting states the work location is Virginia Beach (it is a requirement of the system to assign a work location city), work can actually be performed anywhere within the state of Virginia, with the primary work location being the nearest VDOT district office to the employees home.
Training Program Management Requirements:
Work is mostly performed in an office setting, however some requirements occur at storerooms and warehouses in the field which may have uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions. Travel to site in a vehicle will occur.
