  • Overview

    The Education and Employment Initiative (E2I) and Operation Warfighter (OWF) Programs are collaborative efforts, led by DoD, with support from Federal, state and local government agencies as well as the non-profit and private sector, to address the synchronization, integration, and expansion of existing education, employment and internship support and opportunities for Wounded, Ill and Injured (WII) Service members (SMs).  The objective is to improve their career readiness for placement opportunities prior to transition from active duty.  The analyst will assist in the development and implementation of policies and the creation of contract deliverables and other products to support the E2I/OWF Programs.


    • Assist in analyzing the implementation of program goals and objectives to ensure proper administration, outreach, and management of OSD E2I and OWF programs IAW the contractor performance requirements and provide recommendations as needed
    • Understand and implement policies as directed by the government or contract program leadership.
    • Assist in ensuring operations are meeting execution expectations through trend analysis and trend reviews which lead to programmatic, integrated, enduring, measurable and credible education and employment initiatives.
    • Understand and implement policies as directed by Government Customer and Program Leadership
    • Conduct specialized research projects and prepare written reports and issue papers for project management, as appropriate.
    • Assist Regional Coordinators with weekly/monthly and analyze performance reports to ensure compliance with OSD and Contractual Requirements
    • Evaluate national and regional trends and stay abreast of current changes in providing support to WII SMs.
    • Adhere to program management protocols and requirements between OSD E2I/OWF program management and E2I/OWF Regional Coordinators (RCs).
    • Assist with the implementation of the E2I/OWF strategic communications plan:
      • Update presentations, information papers and marketing materials for internal and external outreach.
      • Assist with the annual review and update E2I/OWF Standing Operations Procedures, as needed
    • Assist with outreach/events to regional and local Veterans Affairs, Federal Government, and the private sector to assess the quality of the event, and make recommendations for improvement, as appropriate.
    • Review requests for information to the E2I and OWF Organizational Mailboxes and provide responses IAW established procedures.
    • Assist with travel requests, approvals and expense reports IAW contract and JFTR procedures
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the E2I/OWF Program Manager and the E2I/OWF Operations Analyst.


    • Bachelor Degree in Business Management,  Business Administration, or Data Analysis
    • Experience with interacting and engaging Executive level leadership
    • Communication skills both oral and written
    • Interpersonal skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of JFTR travel procedures
    • Knowledge of Wounded Ill and Injured Program
    • 3 years’ experience

    Physical Requirements

    Sedentary work -Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
