Overview

Supervise personnel in providing services and establishing reliable and efficient material processing handling for all submarines homeported and visiting to the San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store material, and provide delivery services.
  • Process excess material.
  • Consolidate, package, and ship material received for customers operating in other geographic locations, as directed.
  • Receive material from customers.
  • Prepare, package, and deliver or ship materials to a designated Department of Defense activity.
  • Process Retrograde material, also referred to as Depot Level Repairables (DLR).
  • Submit an electronic report to appropriate authortity that lists the status of DLR carcasses that must be delivered to a designated repair facility but have not yet been received by that repair facility.
  • Limited receipt, stowage, and delivery of subsistence (food).
  • Approximately three times per month, during the months of January through May and September through December, the Contractor shall receive subsistence for units operating at‐sea. 
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Ability to run web‐ based application (Single Point of Entry), Naval Supply Systems’ In‐Transit Accountability System (NITA), and use of the Electronic Retrograde Management system (eRMS) for DLR carcass tracking, processing and shipment specific to submarine operations
  • Five years of experience in installation and maintenance of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) used for shipboard NTCSS Application 
  • Experience in managing the use of the Automated Manifest System Tactical Version 3.1.2 (AMS TAC)  
  • Five years experience with submarine DLR Carcass management and Integrated Logistics Overhaul (ILO) support for submarine repairs as outlined in the 4406.1B Naval Submarine Supply Procedure manual
  • Obtain and maintain a forklift license
  • Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

Physical Requirements

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work is mostly performed in storerooms and warehouses which may have uncontrolled temperatures and dirt/dust/damp conditions. Work is also performed in vehicles traveling to customer sites.
