Overview

The General Clerk will be responsible for communicating with customers and local staff to ensure inventory items are billed appropriately in two separate systems (MANCON/ODOT), which must be kept in sync.  Additionally will interface with vendors concerning invoicing processes to ensure proper paperwork is received and processed in a timely fashion for payment and filling of associated paperwork.  Position will also entail assisting with processing and filing of inventory control paperwork for all processes at the location.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Receiving workload communications verbally and from documentation
  • Providing status on orders
  • Answering telephones
  • Writing customer correspondence
  • Responding to email inquiries
  • Creating and maintaining soft and/or hard copy files
  • Photocopying documents
  • Performing and documenting research for inventory and sales adjustments
  • Performing and documenting research for financial
  • Additional tasks/assignments may occur

Qualifications

  • Experience with general office procedures
  • Experience with desktop computers
  • Experience with customer service
  • Experience working as a part of a team and collaborating with colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial/government inventory/Point-of-Sale systems; Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred
  • Current Drivers License for past 2 years
  • Data Entry experience
  • ASE Certification

 

Physical Requirements

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
